September 22nd - September 25th 2009
Dear young musicians,
This autumn, as part of the Samobor Autumn Music Festival, the 6th Ferdo Livadić International Competition of Young Musicians will be held just for you.
You will have the opportunity to present yourself through an all-evening recital as an accomplished young musician and, by choosing and performing your own programme, may possibly become one of the winners of this year's competition.
What has the Festival organized for you?
- The prize fund this year, donated by Hypo Adria Bank and the City of Samobor, is 25,000 kunas.
- The Festival gives the winner of the Ferdo Livadić Award a new composition by a Croatian composer for a solo instrument and chamber orchestra.
The premiere of the composition, performed with the ensemble Cantus, will take place at the Samobor Autumn Music Festival.
- Cooperation with the ensemble Cantus brings with it a performance in Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall in the cycle "The Cantus Ensemble & Lisinski".
- The winner of the City of Samobor Award will be given the chance to perform in the Samobor Autumn Music Festival.
Let us remind ourselves of the former winners of the Ferdo Livadić Competition: Javor Bračić and Lidija Ljubičić in 2004; Petrit Çeku and Filip Fak in 2005; Zrinka Ivančić and Marija Kuhar in 2006, Petra Kušan in 2007 and Dunja Bontek and Jelena Pavić in 2008.
The continuing success of these young artists in their careers is the best proof of their talents and the Samobor Autumn Music Festival is proud to have contributed to their artistic development by awarding them this prize.
WELCOME TO SAMOBOR!
